DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately the planned food bank collection on Wednesday 11th August has to be postponed. We hope to reschedule for the later in August\, the exact date to be confirmed.  Thank you \n\n\n\nFollowing last June’s very successful collection for Gillingham Food Bank https://gillingham.foodbank.org.uk\, we would like to appeal again to Stour Row and neighbouring villages to support this worthy cause. Sadly donations to food banks have reduced due to Covid\, whilst the numbers requiring help increases.  \n\n\n\nStour Row village hall will be open from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 11th August.  Please can you leave donations on the tables set out across the room. We will take sensible Covid precautions but no one way circuit is required this time.  If you are away over this date you can arrange to leave donations at Ash Tree Cottage. \n\n\n\nGillingham food bank has provided guidelines for the donations items that are currently needed/not needed. \n\n\n\nThey would like: long life (UHT) fruit juice\, tinned potatoes and tinned carrots\, plus small cereals). DESCRIPTION:Following a successful collection at Stour Provost the Gillingham Food Bank has asked us to collect in Stour Row.  They have unprecedented demand at the moment for existing and new claimants.  Please could you purchase or order a few extra items this week in order to support this worthy local initiative.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Village Hall will be open from 10am to 3pm to receive donations.  It will be occasionally manned\, and we will be undertaking all the correct social distancing measures etc  including an ‘in’ door and exit to the rear. \n\n\n\nThey have requested the following items:  \n\n\n\nCereal (small packets). Fruit juice (UHT not fresh). Savoury snacks. Tinned vegetables (small tins not Sweetcorn).  Pasta (any 500g). Rice (any 500g).  Sauces and jams. DESCRIPTION:Our May walk will be on Bank Holiday Monday\, not the usual Saturday. We will join the White Hart Link project to launch the section of the route between Stourpaine and Blandford Forum. Visit the White Hart Link website https://www.whitehartlink.uk/ to find out more about the project. \n\n\n\nParking at the Stourpaine Village Hall by kind permission.Leaving at 11am\, we will follow the Trailway to Blandford Forum\, where we will be greeted by the Mayor and then proceed to Stour Meadows for a picnic lunch (bring your own picnic!). \n\n\n\nOptional return walk to Stourpaine along the same route. You may prefer to make your own transport arrangements and leave a car in Blandford (Stour Meadows car park recommended).\n\n \n\n\n\n It would be helpful if you would let Martin Hibbert know if you will be coming on the walk.
