DESCRIPTION:Our May walk will be on Bank Holiday Monday\, not the usual Saturday. We will join the White Hart Link project to launch the section of the route between Stourpaine and Blandford Forum. Visit the White Hart Link website https://www.whitehartlink.uk/ to find out more about the project. \n\n\n\nParking at the Stourpaine Village Hall by kind permission.Leaving at 11am\, we will follow the Trailway to Blandford Forum\, where we will be greeted by the Mayor and then proceed to Stour Meadows for a picnic lunch (bring your own picnic!). \n\n\n\nOptional return walk to Stourpaine along the same route. You may prefer to make your own transport arrangements and leave a car in Blandford (Stour Meadows car park recommended).\n\n \n\n\n\n It would be helpful if you would let Martin Hibbert know if you will be coming on the walk. SUMMARY:Exhibition of the Sambhali Trust Embroidered Panels 4th - 6th May 2019 2-5pm
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the exhibition is to publicise the work of the Sambhali Trust (www.sambhali-trust.org) and raise funds. The Trust focuses on the development and empowerment of deprived women and children in Rajasthan. It provides education\, vocational training and social skills to enable them to become financially independent.The 13 panels have been created from embroidery pieces designed and made by women in the empowerment and sewing centres. They depict the story of Sambhali\, what it means to the women in the centres and how it has changed their lives. Over 200 women and children have been involved in the project.

DESCRIPTION:This year we are hoping to run a village fete & fun dog show in the summer on Sunday 7th July\, to raise much needed funds for the maintenance of the village hall. \n\n\n\nVolunteers are needed to make this event a success\, so there will be a meeting for anyone who could offer to help organise and run stalls/activities. \n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in the rear garden of the dog training centre on Green Lane next Sunday 28th April at 2pm to finalise commitments for the planned event.
