Food bank collection – Wednesday 25th August at Stour Row Village Hall
Following last June’s very successful collection for Gillingham Food Bank, we would like to appeal again to Stour Row and neighbouring villages to support this worthy cause. Sadly donations to food banks have reduced due to Covid, whilst the numbers requiring help increases.

Stour Row village hall will be open from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 25th August. Please can you leave donations on the tables set out across the room. We will take sensible Covid precautions, but no one way circuit is required this time. If you are away over this date you can arrange to leave donations at Ash Tree Cottage.

Gillingham food bank has provided guidelines for the donations items that are currently needed/not needed.

They would like: long life (UHT) fruit juice, tinned potatoes and tinned carrots, plus small cereal packets (large packets do not fit boxes). Household items eg. toilet cleaner, 4 pack toilet rolls, deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, washing-up liquid and floor cleaner.

They do not need: pasta, rice, soup, baked beans or porridge oats at the moment due to large commercial donations made last year.

Thank you for your support. Please use the contact form on the website if you need more information.
